Round Rock, Texas — The University of St. Thomas baseball team earned multiple postseason honors from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, highlighting the Celts' continued growth and competitiveness throughout the 2026 season.
St. Thomas was represented on the All-SCAC First Team by sophomore pitcher Michael Martinez, who emerged as one of the conference's top arms during the year. Serving as a key piece of the weekend rotation, he consistently delivered strong outings against league opponents and helped anchor the Celts on the mound. His performance also drew attention in the conference's Pitcher-of-the-Year voting, further emphasizing his impact across the SCAC.
The Celts added two more All-Conference selections on the Second Team, reflecting contributions both offensively and on the mound. Sophomore pitcher Armando Rocha earned recognition for his reliability and ability to provide key innings throughout the season, while junior designated hitter Gage Kimble was honored for his production at the plate and timely hitting in conference play.
Additional contributors were recognized on the Honorable Mention list, underscoring the depth of the St. Thomas roster. Senior relief pitcher Gilberto Arreozola, junior pitcher Kaden Bertrand, and first-year infielder Chris Johnson each played important roles throughout the season and were acknowledged for their efforts.
