HOUSTON, TX – University of St. Thomas senior Allison Hughes has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19.

The Cypress, Texas native delivered a dominant performance in the circle, tossing a no-hitter in her lone appearance of the week to lead the Celts to a 13-0 victory over Centenary and secure a series sweep.

Hughes threw a complete game shutout, striking out seven batters over five innings while allowing just three walks. She finished the outing with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.60 WHIP, controlling the game from start to finish.

Her standout performance in the circle helped power St. Thomas through a successful conference weekend and earned her conference weekly honors.
