HOUSTON, TX-- University of St. Thomas forward Sydney Ferguson has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her standout play from September 15–21.

The first-year from Sugar Land, Texas, shined in the Celts' 4-0 victory over Mississippi University for Women, scoring twice — including the game-winner — to secure her first career brace. Ferguson's efficiency in front of goal gave the Celts the spark they needed to close out non-conference action on a high note.

With Ferguson leading the attack, St. Thomas heads into SCAC play this weekend carrying strong momentum and confidence at 3-1-2 on the season.
