HOUSTON – The University of St. Thomas Volleyball program made history as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2025 All-Conference awards. Junior outside hitter Alexis Bodunrin was named SCAC Player of the Year, junior libero Carly Lange earned Backrow Player of the Year, and Head Coach Keanne Burt and her staff were recognized as the SCAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
This marks the first time in program history that St. Thomas has claimed both the league's top player and top coaching honors in the same season.
Bodunrin, a junior from Tomball, Texas, dominated offensively this year, leading the SCAC in multiple categories including total kills (422), kills per set (4.10), total points (469), and points per set (4.55). She was also named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week five times this season — the most for any player in a single season since 2021. Her consistency and leadership helped power the Celts to a 23-5 overall record and a share of the SCAC regular season title. Bodunrin is the first Celt ever to receive the conference's Player of the Year honor since joining the SCAC in 2019.
Lange, a junior from Bellville, Texas, was exceptional on the defensive side, leading the SCAC — and ranking among the top three in all of NCAA Division III — in both digs (646) and digs per set (6.15). She also tallied 41 service aces and posted five of the top 10 single-match dig totals in the conference this season. Lange becomes the third Celt to earn Backrow Player of the Year, following former standouts Kaylyn Latin (2019, 2020-21) and Kara Spice (2023).
Head Coach Keanne Burt and her staff were honored as SCAC Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Celts to one of the best seasons in program history. St. Thomas finished 23-5 overall and 13-3 in conference play, earning a share of the Gold Division regular season crown and the top seed heading into the SCAC Tournament. The Celts also hold the highest NPI ranking in the conference and sit third overall in NCAA Division III Region X.

Under Burt's leadership, St. Thomas has continued to establish itself as one of the premier volleyball programs in the SCAC. This is Burt's first career Coaching Staff of the Year honor, and she becomes just the second UST fall sports coach to receive this recognition since joining the league in 2019.
Along with the major awards, several Celts earned All-SCAC honors:
