KERRVILLE, Texas -- In an announcement made tonight at the conference tournament, University of St. Thomas'
Alexis Bodunrin was named the 2025 SCAC Women's Volleyball Elite 19 award winner.
Recognized as the league's Player-of-the-Year earlier in the week, Bodunrin, a junior outside hitter from Tomball, Texas, currently holds a cumulative GPA of 4.00 as a Pre-Med major in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience.
Bodunrin, a five time SCAC Player-of-the-Week during the 2025 season, is the sixth St. Thomas student-athlete to earn the league's most prestigious award and the first
since Allison Hughes earned the Softball Elite 19 award last season.
Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each conference sponsored-sport as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First or Second Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
