Lange & Bodunrin Earns AVCA All-American Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of St. Thomas made its mark on the national stage as Alexis Bodunrin and Carly Lange were both named AVCA Division III All-America Honorable Mention selections, announced last Tuesday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

The recognition comes after both standout juniors earned First Team All-Region honors last week and played pivotal roles in one of the most successful seasons in UST volleyball history.

Bodunrin, a junior outside hitter from Tomball, Texas, was named SCAC Player-of-the-Year after leading the conference in kills per set (4.08) and points per set (4.5), while ranking second with 432 total kills. She also earned SCAC All-Tournament Team honors.

Lange, a junior libero from Bellville, Texas, was named SCAC Backrow-Player-of-the-Year following a dominant season defensively, leading the league — and finishing third nationally — in digs (668) and digs per set (6.19).

Together, Bodunrin and Lange propelled St. Thomas to the number one overall seed in the SCAC Tournament and helped secure the SCAC Gold Division Co-Regular Season Championship.
