UST Women's Golf Earns SCAC Spring Sportsmanship Recognition

HOUSTON – The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf program was recognized by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) as one of the league's top sportsmanship teams for the 2026 spring season, earning a third-place finish in the conference's annual Team Sportsmanship Awards.

The SCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) presents the Team Sportsmanship Awards each year to recognize the programs that best exemplify respect, integrity, fair play, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. The awards honor the conduct of both student-athletes and coaching staffs across each spring championship sport.

UST's women's golf team was one of three programs recognized by the conference, joining Texas Lutheran, which earned the top honor, and Schreiner, which finished second.

The recognition reflects the Celts' commitment to competing with integrity while representing the University of St. Thomas both on and off the course. Throughout the 2026 season, the program demonstrated the values of sportsmanship, respect for opponents, and excellence that continue to define UST Athletics.

The Team Sportsmanship Awards are voted on by each member institution's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Each school ranks its top three teams in every sport, with first-place votes receiving five points, second-place votes earning three points, and third-place votes receiving one point to determine the conference's overall honorees.
