SEGUIN, TX – The University of St. Thomas was represented at the John Nellermoe Classic, hosted by Texas Lutheran at Max Starcke Park Golf Course, by two individual entrants. Erica Mendoza and Mia Pedraza both competed outside the team standings across the two-round event, with Hardin-Simmons taking the team title at 646.
Mendoza led the way for the Celts, finishing 38th overall with a two-round total of 178 (+34) after rounds of 94 (+22) and 84 (+12). Pedraza rounded out the St. Thomas entries, posting rounds of 129 (+57) and 117 (+45) to finish 53rd at 246 (+102).
Though St. Thomas didn't field a full women's squad for this event, both players picked up valuable tournament reps as the program builds toward a fuller schedule.
