HOUSTON – Following a strong showing at the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Golf Championship, the University of St. Thomas women's golf program saw two student-athletes recognized among the conference's best as sophmore duo Leah Torres and Cameron Frazier were both named First Team All-SCAC.

The honors come after the duo helped lead the Celts to a second-place finish at the 2026 SCAC Women's Golf Championship held at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas. St. Thomas posted rounds of 325, 315 and 163 to finish with a team total of 803, securing runner-up honors in the conference tournament.

Torres delivered one of the strongest performances of the championship field, finishing tied for fourth overall with a three-round score of 195. The senior opened the event with rounds of 75 and 76 before posting a final-round 44 to earn First Team All-SCAC recognition.

Frazier continued her impressive rookie campaign by tying for second overall in the championship standings. She carded rounds of 78 and 77 before closing with a 38 to finish at 193, just six strokes behind tournament medalist Kinley Pessel of LeTourneau. Frazier's runner-up finish secured her place on the First Team All-SCAC squad and capped one of the most successful freshman seasons in program history.

The pair accounted for two of the top five individual finishes at the conference championship and played a pivotal role in helping the Celts finish ahead of seven conference opponents.

LeTourneau claimed the 2026 SCAC Championship team title, while Pessel was named SCAC Golfer of the Year. McMurry's Katelyn Henslee earned SCAC First-Year Golfer of the Year honors, and LeTourneau head coach Paul Leslie was selected as SCAC Coach of the Year.

The All-SCAC honors mark another milestone for a St. Thomas program that continued its rise within the conference, with Torres and Frazier establishing themselves among the elite golfers in the SCAC during the 2025-26 season.
