FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of St. Thomas men's golf team completed round one of the SCAC Championships, sitting tied for fifth place with a team score of +10 at Hawks Creek Golf Club.
Landon Chau and William Alberty led the way for the Celts, each carding rounds of +1 to finish tied for ninth and pace St. Thomas in the opening round.
Jesus Del Aguila added a solid performance, finishing tied for 20th at +3, while Antonio Ramirez posted a +5 to land tied for 29th.
Lawson Fiscus rounded out the St. Thomas lineup with a +6, placing him tied for 33rd after day one.
As a team, the Celts remained within striking distance of the leaderboard and maintained their poise against a competitive conference field, setting up an opportunity to climb the standings in the next round.
