HOUSTON – Following the conclusion of the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Golf Championship, University of St. Thomas freshman Antonio Ramirez was recognized among the conference's top performers, earning Second Team All-SCAC honors.
Ramirez highlighted a strong showing for the Celts at the SCAC Championship held at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas. St. Thomas finished fourth in the conference standings with a three-round team score of 735 after rounds of 298, 295, and 142.
Ramirez tied for seventh overall in the individual standings, carding rounds of 77 and 71 before firing a final-round 33 to finish with a tournament total of 181. His performance placed him among the top 10 golfers in the conference championship field and earned him a spot on the All-SCAC Second Team.
Ramirez's steady play throughout the tournament helped guide the Celts to a top-four finish in one of the conference's most competitive championship fields. St. Thomas finished just two strokes behind third-place University of Dallas and narrowly edged several conference rivals in the final standings.
The Celts posted one of their best rounds of the tournament during the second day of competition, shooting a team score of 295 before closing the championship with a strong final round. The fourth-place finish capped another successful season for the St. Thomas men's golf program as it continued to compete among the SCAC's top teams.
