SEGUIN, TX – The University of St. Thomas men's golf team closed out the John Nellermoe Classic, hosted by Texas Lutheran at Max Starcke Park Golf Course, in fifth place out of 13 teams. The Celts posted rounds of 292 (+4), 292 (+4), and 300 (+12) to finish at 884, or +20 for the tournament.

Aasher Barrows paced the Celts, finishing tied for ninth individually at +1 after rounds of 72 (E), 71 (-1) and 74 (+2). Bryce Brazzel followed in a tie for 17th at +4, carding 72-74-74. Antonio Ramirez tied for 27th at +9 with rounds of 75, 73 and 77, while Jesus Del Aguila and Carter McCaffrey both finished tied for 36th at +13 — Del Aguila posting 73-79-77 and McCaffrey posting 80-74-75.

The Celts' steady play from Barrows and Brazzel near the top of the leaderboard kept St. Thomas competitive across all three rounds.
