HOUSTON, TX – The University of St. Thomas women's tennis team capped off the regular season with a 5-1 conference victory. The Celts improve to 7-4 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
Due to weather conditions, doubles play was not contested, and the match was decided entirely through singles competition.
UST delivered a strong showing across the lineup, earning four singles victories. Lucia Rodriguez led the way with a 6-2, 6-2 win, while Mariel Herrera followed with a 7-5, 6-0 performance. Nataly Velasco battled back after dropping the first set to secure a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 victory, and Aimee Tran added another point with a solid 6-3, 6-1 win.
Ella Mullins competed in a tightly contested three-set match but came up just short, falling 7-6, 4-6, 7-5.
