HOUSTON, TX – University of St. Thomas sophomore Samantha Crumrin has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, February 23 through Sunday, March 1.
The Katy, Texas native delivered a standout performance in conference play, powering the Celts to a series sweep of McMurry. Crumrin hit an impressive .636 (7-for-11) across three games, driving in nine runs and scoring four times.
She recorded one double and one triple on the weekend, posting a .909 slugging percentage while striking out just once in 11 at-bats. Crumrin was equally sharp defensively at first base, handling all 11 of her chances flawlessly to finish with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Her all-around effort played a key role in St. Thomas' conference success and earned her conference weekly recognition.
