HOUSTON, TX-- The University of St. Thomas women's and men's track and field teams competed at the Leonard Hilton Invitational in Houston, Texas, marking their second indoor meet of the season. The meet was held at Yeomen Fieldhouse and featured strong competition from programs including the University of Houston, Texas, Texas Southern, UTRGV, and others.

On the women's side, Alejandra Ramon delivered a historic performance by setting a new school record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:06. Lexie Allred Rojas also broke a program record, posting a time of 1:35.44 in the 600 yards.
In sprint events, Trinity Provost ran 25.59 in the 200 meters, a mark that currently ranks 22nd in the nation. Quadetra Wilburn followed with a personal-best time of 26.06, which stands as the second-best time in program history. In the 60 meters, Wilburn was the top finisher for the Celts, placing 19th overall with a time of 7.90. Provost recorded a season-best 7.92, while first-year athletes Christalyn Dorsey and Houlda Dibanda posted personal-best times of 8.07 and 8.10. Junior Emorie Proctor added a time of 8.19.
In middle-distance events, Eslie Ngoran recorded a season-best time of 1:00.42, while Nelsy Vera posted a personal-best time of 1:03.88.
On the men's side, freshman Terrence Jackson continued to impress, recording the third-best times in program history in both the 200 meters and 400 meters with times of 22.82 and 50.65. Elijah Emerson highlighted the distance events by running a program-best time of 8:49.20, which currently ranks 46th in the NCAA. His performance helped Jonathan Castro and Jhancarlos Caprio post strong times as well, finishing in 8:59.15 and 8:59.69.
