HOUSTON, TX- The University of St. Thomas Women's and Men's track and field teams made a standout appearance at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge, held at Yeoman Fieldhouse indoor facility. The teams showcased their hard work determination, setting the tone as they achieved multiple school records, personal bests, and nationally ranked performances across both field and running events.

Setting the bar high, the lady Celts made history in the women's long jump as
Quadetra Wilburn reset the school record with a leap of 4.76 meters (15'7.50"), leading a strong trio of performances. Teammates
Jakayla Ray and
Houlda Dibanda also made their mark with new personal records, clearing 4.68 meters and 4.66 meters, marking an exceptional day in the sand pit. Ray continued her impressive form in the triple jump, improving upon her own school record with a jump of 10.16 meters, earning an 8th-place finish overall.
In the Women's sprint events, there were equally impressive results, especially in the 60 meters where three runners broke the eight-second barrier.
Quadetra Wilburn ran 7.80 to qualify for the finals before lowering the school record to 7.75, a time that currently ranks her 30th nationally.
Trinity Provost continued her progression with a time of 7.85, while freshman
Christalyn Dorsey ran 7.97, moving her into third-best all-time in program history. The Women's 200 meters saw
Trinity Provost once again lead the Lady Celts with a 10th-place finish in 25.75, while
Madison Walker ran an impressive 26.24, tying the fourth-best time in program history. In the 400 meters,
Eslie Ngoran posted a personal best of 1:00.36, finishing 11th overall. The women's mile saw continued excellence from Elyssa Rodarte, who broke her own school record once again, clocking 5:28.75 to place 9th overall. Keyanna Brown narrowly dipped under the 5:30 mark, finishing 12th in 5:30.11.
On the Men's side of field events, newcomer
JaKarri Hall represented the Celts well in the long jump, finishing 13th overall with a mark of 6.32 meters, signaling a promising debut for the freshman.
With intense energy flowing into the running events for the Men's, starting off in the 60 meters
Chris Releford led the way with a personal best of 7.11, followed by
Adrian Thomas in 7.17. Also in sprints,
Jason Crampton topped the Celts in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 22.94. As for the Men's distance runners, they set the tone for their opponents with strong performances. In the men's 5,000 meters, Micah Hampton finished 8th overall with a time of 15:27.43, while sophomore Johnathan Castro followed closely behind in 15:45.27. The men's mile produced another school record as Elijah Emerson ran a blazing 4:19.62, earning a 3rd-place finish. Teammate Diego Santilan also posted a strong improvement, running 4:26.74 to finish 12th overall.
To conclude such strong performances, the highlight of the meet came in the distance medley relays. The women's quartet of Keyanna Brown,
Eslie Ngoran,
Lexie Allred Rojas, and Elyssa Rodarte finished 3rd overall in a school-record time of 13:14.17, shattering the previous mark by more than 40 seconds and earning a No. 30 national ranking. The men's distance medley team of Jhancarlos Caprio,
Terrence Jackson, Diego Santilan, and Elijah Emerson followed, taking 2nd place in a new school record of 10:36.88, which currently ranks 20th in the NCAA.
