UST’s Trinity Provost Selected for NCAA Convention

HOUSTON, TX--  St. Thomas will be represented on a national stage this January, as senior Trinity Provost has been selected to attend the 2026 NCAA Convention as part of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Student-Athlete Initiative.

The NCAA Convention will take place January 13–16, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The annual event brings together student-athletes, administrators, and leaders from all three NCAA divisions for four days focused on education, governance, and the future of collegiate athletics.

As a Student-Athlete Initiative representative, Provost will take part in educational sessions, association-wide meetings, and leadership discussions designed to elevate the student-athlete voice at the national level. The Convention schedule includes division-specific business meetings, featured association-wide sessions, education forums, and the NCAA Honors celebration, providing participants with a comprehensive look at how the NCAA operates across all divisions.

Provost, a senior majoring in psychology, is a standout member of the UST track and field program. She has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments, including breaking multiple school records and winning the SCAC 200-meter title in back-to-back seasons in 2024 and 2025. Her championship-winning performance ranks as the fourth-best in conference history. In addition to her individual success, she has been a key contributor to the Celts' 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

Champions master their own rhythm no matter who's in the next lane," Provost said. "That mindset has guided me both in competition and in leadership, and I'm excited to bring that perspective to the NCAA Convention."

Her excellence extends beyond competition. Provost was named the 2024–25 UST Athletics Female Athlete of the Year, one of the highest honors awarded at the annual Athletics Banquet. In addition to her role as a student-athlete, Provost serves as a UST Gameday Manager, where she assists with social media coordination, website management, and game-day operations to support the smooth execution of athletic events.

Provost's selection to attend the NCAA Convention reflects her leadership, competitive success, and commitment to athletics both on and off the track, as she continues to represent the University of St. Thomas and the SCAC at the national level.
