ABILENE, Texas — The University of St. Thomas Women's Tennis team closed out its fall season with strong performances on the final day of competition at the ITA Regionals, hosted by Hardin-Simmons University.

Singles
In Draw A, Lucia Rodriguez advanced to the quarterfinal round after a dominant run through the early matches. Facing a tough Trinity opponent, she battled hard but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-4 to end her impressive singles campaign.
On Line B, Nataly Velasco showcased consistency and power, winning back-to-back matches with identical scores of 6-1, 6-3 to reach the finals. Despite a strong effort, Velasco came up just short in the championship match, securing a runner-up finish.
Meanwhile, Marlie McArthur also advanced to the quarterfinals, where she pushed her match to a tiebreaker before falling 7-5, 6-4, 6-10 in a competitive battle.
Doubles
In Draw A, the duo of Rodriguez and Mariel Herrera competed in the quarterfinals but were topped by a strong Trinity team, 8-1.
In Draw B, Adriana Iturralde and Tran reached the semifinals but fell in a close 8-5 decision. Also in Draw B, Velasco and Hannah Snyder put together an impressive run, advancing through the semifinals with an 8-3 win over Concordia. They went on to compete in the finals but were edged 8-4 by Hardin-Simmons.

This tournament concludes the Celts' fall schedule. St. Thomas will now shift its focus to the spring season, where the team will look to build on this fall's momentum and make a strong push in conference play.
