CLARKSVILLE, AR – St. Thomas women's tennis team delivered a commanding performance on the road, sweeping the University of the Ozarks 7-0 in conference action. With the win, the Celts improve to 2-2 overall and remain unbeaten at 2-0 in conference play.
UST controlled the doubles round from the start, earning the point with a clean sweep. Lucia Rodriguez and Mariel Herrera led the way with a 6-3 victory, followed by Aimee Tran and Adriana Iturralde who secured a 6-1 win. Ella Mullins and Nataly Velasco capped off doubles play with a dominant 6-0 performance.
The Celts carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in convincing fashion. Lucia Rodriguez set the tone with a 6-1, 6-0 win, while Ella Mullins followed with a strong 6-2, 6-0 victory. Mariel Herrera added another point with a 6-2, 6-1 decision, and Nataly Velasco was flawless in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Adriana Iturralde continued the dominance with a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Marlie McArthur closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
