HOUSTON, TX-- St. Thomas Track & Field program, led by head coach Jarrick Wright, has released the full 2025–26 indoor and outdoor schedule as the Celts prepare for another year of growth, speed, and depth across both the men's and women's teams. Coach Wright shared his excitement as the team prepares to open the season in Birmingham. "We are excited to open up the season in Birmingham. Last season was nothing short of amazing, with our women finishing fourth overall at the championship meet last April. We're looking to build on that. We have young talent ready to step up to the plate, and I'm excited to see what they can do this year." The new season features a strong mix of regional competition that will challenge the roster early and build momentum toward the SCAC Championships in the spring.

The Schedule
The indoor season opens on December 5 at the Birmingham Icebreaker in Alabama, giving the team its first test before returning home for a stretch of Houston-based meets. The Celts will compete at the Leonard Hilton Invite on January 10, followed by the Fastrak Athletix meet on January 24. The final stretch of indoor competition includes the Robert Platt Invite from January 30–31, the Fastrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge on February 7, and the Howie Ryan Invite on February 13. These meets offer important opportunities for athletes to sharpen their sprints, relays, jumps, and distance events before transitioning outdoors.
The outdoor season begins March 7 at the Southwestern Invite in Georgetown before the team heads to the TLU D3 Challenge from March 20–21 in Seguin. The Celts then travel to the Victor Lopez Classic in Houston on March 27, followed by the Trinity Invite in San Antonio from April 3–4. Outdoor competition continues with the War Hawk Classic on April 11 in Abilene, and the team returns to Abilene again from April 24–26 for the SCAC Championships. With multiple competitions across Texas, the outdoor schedule is designed to give the team consistent opportunities for improvement and qualifying marks.
Returners and Leadership
The Celts return major sprint power on both sides, led by
Trinity Provost and
Quadetra Wilburn, who bring back some of the fastest marks in SCAC history, along with relay standout Lexie Rojas. The women also add key newcomers to strengthen their depth. For the men,
Jason Crampton returns after reaching the SCAC 200-meter finals, while
Chris Releford leads the short sprint group following a strong season in the 100 meters. . Coach Wright's squad remains focused on improvement throughout the indoor season so they can peak during the spring championship run. The combination of returning stars, emerging talent, and a competitive schedule positions UST to make significant strides in the SCAC this year.
