HOUSTON, TX-- Leah Torres of University of St. Thomas has been named the SCAC Women's Golf Co-Golfer of the Week following her standout performance at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational.

Torres led the Celts with a top-15 finish, tying for 13th overall with a two-round total of 156 (+14). She opened the tournament with a steady round of 76 (+5) before closing with an 80 (+9), helping St. Thomas secure a sixth-place team finish against a competitive field.

Over the two rounds, Torres recorded 23 total pars — tied for the second-most in the tournament — and finished as one of the top two SCAC competitors in the field alongside McMurry's Katelyn Henslee.

This marks a strong early-season showing for Torres, who continues to set the tone for the Celts as they build momentum heading into the heart of the fall schedule.
