FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of St. Thomas women's golf team opened play at the SCAC Preview on Monday at Hawks Creek Golf Club, finishing the first round in third place with a team score of +44.

Leading the way for the Celts was Cameron Frazier, who carded a +6 round of 78 to sit in second place individually. Leah Torres followed closely behind, shooting an +8 (80) to claim a spot in the top five heading into the final round.

Regina Garcia Perez also turned in a steady performance, posting a +10 (82) to round out the top ten for the Celts. Josefina Demonti completed the St. Thomas lineup with a +20 (92).
