SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of St. Thomas women's golf team opened play at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational, hosted by Trinity University, and finished round one in seventh place overall in a competitive field.

Leading the way for the Celts was Leah Torres, who turned in a strong opening round and currently sits in 8th place individually at +5. Cameron Frazier followed as the team's second finisher, carding a score of +12 to land in 22nd place.
Regina Perez continued the effort for St. Thomas, finishing the first round tied for 28th at +14, while Josefina Demonti rounded out the lineup in 39th at +27.
