Alexis Bodunrin has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from October 14–18.
Bodunrin helped the Celts avenge an earlier conference loss with a standout performance, recording 26 kills in a 3-2 victory over Colorado College. Her 26 kills tie for the third-highest total in a single match by any SCAC player this season and sit just one shy of her personal season high. She also added 12 digs and a block in the five-set thriller.
This marks Bodunrin's third straight SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honor and her fourth of the season. She continues to lead the conference in both total kills and kills per set.
Head Coach Keanne Burt praised Bodunrin's consistency and growth, saying, "Alexis is getting into a nice rhythm heading into the second half of conference. Her ability to mix up shots and locations is keeping opponents on their toes. She's really been a great leader for the team."
The Celts look to carry that momentum into this week match versus ETBU and resuming confernce play for another SCAC Crossover tournament.
