HOUSTON, TX-- Brian Garcia a senior forward from Cypress, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, September 13.

Garcia was the driving force behind a perfect week for the Celts, leading St. Thomas to a pair of victories while finding the back of the net in both matchups. His steady, senior-level presence up top proved to be exactly what the Celts needed as they navigated a demanding two-game stretch.

In St. Thomas' 3-1 win over McMurry, Garcia delivered when it mattered, tallying an insurance marker in the 76th minute to help seal the result and keep the Celts firmly in control down the stretch. He wasn't done there. Garcia followed that performance up just days later with the game-winning goal in the Celts' win over Hardin-Simmons, once again proving he can be counted on in the moments that decide matches.

The two-goal week also carries extra significance for Garcia on a personal level — it marked the first time in his career he has scored in back-to-back matches, a milestone that speaks to his growing confidence and consistency as he heads deeper into his senior campaign.
