HOUSTON – Four University of St. Thomas track & field student-athletes were recognized for their excellence in the classroom as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2026 NCAA Division III All-Academic Athletes on Monday.

Representing the Celts were Christalyn Dorsey, Quadetra Wilburn, Jhancarlos Carpio, and Elijah Emerson, each earning individual All-Academic honors for their outstanding achievements both academically and athletically throughout the 2026 season.

On the women's side, Christalyn Dorsey, a Psychology major, and Quadetra Wilburn, a Marketing major, were recognized among the nation's top student-athletes. Wilburn capped off a standout season by qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 100-meter dash after breaking the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) record earlier this spring.

For the men's team, Jhancarlos Carpio, a Marketing major, and Elijah Emerson, an Accounting major, also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, highlighting the program's continued commitment to success in the classroom.

In addition to the individual honors, the University of St. Thomas women's track & field program earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognition under the direction of Head Coach Jarrick Wright. The Celts posted a 3.11 cumulative team GPA during the academic year to receive the national academic distinction.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic awards recognize student-athletes and programs that demonstrate exceptional achievement in both academics and athletics, celebrating excellence beyond competition.
