HOUSTON – St. Thomas sophomore Quadetra Wilburn has etched her name into the history books, becoming the first female student-athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Wilburn earned her spot in the national meet after posting one of the top performances in the country in the women's 100-meter dash. Her season-best time of 11.83 seconds ranks among the top 25 in NCAA Division III and secured her place in one of the most competitive sprint fields in the nation.

The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 21–23 at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, with University of Wisconsin–La Crosse serving as host.

Wilburn enters the national championships seeded 18th in the 22-athlete field. The sophomore standout will compete against the top sprinters in Division III, including defending national contenders from programs such as Calvin University, Tufts University, Wartburg College, and Emory University.

The women's 100-meter dash preliminaries are scheduled for Thursday, May 21. The top finishers from the preliminary round will advance to the national championship final.

Wilburn's historic qualification marks another milestone for the University of St. Thomas track and field program and highlights the continued growth of the Celts on the national stage. In just her sophomore season, she has emerged as one of the fastest athletes in Division III .
