HOUSTON, TX – University of St. Thomas first-year Christalyn Dorsey has been named the SCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 30 through Sunday, April 5.
The Fort Worth, Texas native delivered an outstanding performance at the J.G. Gonzalez Memorial Invite, recording three top-10 finishes and playing a key role in a record-breaking relay.
Dorsey ran the second leg of the 4x100-meter relay that posted a conference-leading time of 46.90, breaking the school record and ranking fourth nationally in NCAA Division III.
Individually, she claimed the 100-meter title with a personal-best time of 12.20, moving to the second-fastest mark in the SCAC this season. She also added a seventh-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking another personal-best time of 25.84.
Her dynamic performance across multiple events helped lead the Celts during the weekend meet and earned her conference weekly honors.
