HOUSTON, TX – The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf team opened play at the Space City Classic at Gus Wortham Golf Course, hosted by the Celts. After the first round, St. Thomas sits second overall with a team score of +49 heading into the final round.

Cameron Frazier led the Celts with a round of 79 (+7), placing tied for second overall after day one. Leah Torres followed with an 81 (+9), sitting tied for seventh on the leaderboard.

Regina Garcia Perez added an 82 (+10), placing tied for ninth, while Josefina Demonti carded a 95 (+23). Katelyn Marti rounded out the lineup with a round of 98 (+26).

The Celts will look to build on their opening-round performance as they return to the course for the final round.
