MOORPARK, CA – The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf team opened play at the Cal Lutheran Invitational, hosted by California Lutheran University. After round one, the Celts sit in second place overall with a team score of +24.

Leading the way for St. Thomas was Emma Koch, who sits atop the leaderboard after firing an even-par round of 72 (E) to hold the individual lead. Cameron Frazier followed closely behind, carding a 74 (+2) to sit tied for fourth overall.
Josefina Demonti and Leah Torres each turned in rounds of 83 (+11), placing tied for 20th after the opening round. Regina Garcia Perez added an 90 (+18), while Katelyn Marti competed as an individual and finished the day at +36.
The Celts positioned themselves well after the opening round and will look to build on their performance heading into the final day.
