HOUSTON, TX – University of St. Thomas junior Victoria Sossaman has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 23 through Sunday, March 29.

The Cypress, Texas native was dominant in the circle, leading the Celts to a conference sweep of Ozarks and extending the team's win streak to six games. Sossaman posted a 2-0 record on the week, throwing two complete games across 13.0 innings of work.

She allowed just seven hits and one earned run, finishing with a 0.54 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP while keeping opposing hitters in check throughout the series.

Sossaman also continued to lead the SCAC in strikeouts, adding 13 more on the week to bring her season total to a conference-best 78.

Her commanding performances in the circle played a key role in St. Thomas' continued success in conference play and earned her weekly honors.
