ROUND ROCK, TX – The University of St. Thomas Men's Golf team opened play at the Linda Lowery Invitational at Teravista Golf Club. After round one, the Celts sit in second place overall with a team score of +6.

Jesus Del Aguila led the way for St. Thomas, carding an even-par 72 to sit tied for eighth overall. Antonio Ramirez followed closely behind with a round of 73 (+1), placing tied for 13th.

Landon Chau added a 74 (+2) to sit tied for 16th, while William Alberty and Lawson Fiscus each posted rounds of 75 (+3), placing tied for 19th after the opening round.

Competing as individuals, Drake Durrett recorded a 78 (+6), Bryce Brazzel finished with an 84 (+12), and Aasher Barrows rounded out the Celt group with an 90 (+18).

The Celts positioned themselves well after the opening round and will look to make a move in round two.
