Celts Earn No. 3 Seed for 2025 SCAC Women’s Soccer Tournament

HOUSTON – The University of St. Thomas Women's Soccer team is officially postseason bound. The Celts have earned the No. 3 seed in the 2025 SCAC Women's Soccer Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 7-1-2 conference record (10-2-4 overall).

This marks the program's first postseason appearance since 2020–21 and just the second in program history. St. Thomas secured the third seed with a 3-0 victory over Centenary on Saturday, closing out a strong regular season.

The Celts will face sixth-seeded Hendrix College in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, November 6 at 2:30 p.m. CT at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas. When the two teams met earlier this season, St. Thomas came out on top 2-1 in Houston. The winner of Thursday's matchup will advance to Friday's semifinal to take on No. 2 seed McMurry University.

This year's SCAC Tournament will feature the top six teams from the conference, with Texas Lutheran earning the top seed after finishing the regular season unbeaten in SCAC play. Concordia (Texas), Austin College, and Hendrix round out the field.

The tournament champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III National Championship.  Official Championships Website | Bracket
