ROUND ROCK, Texas – The University of St. Thomas Women's Soccer team was well represented in the 2025 All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selections, with several Celts earning recognition for their strong performances throughout the season.
Senior midfielder Emma Cerda was named to the All-SCAC First Team after serving as a key leader in the midfield for St. Thomas. Cerda's playmaking ability and composure on the ball helped drive the Celts' offense, earning her one of the top honors among the conference's elite players.
On the All-SCAC Second Team, junior defender Mary-Ilyse Lehmann and junior forward Ashlee Stoltje were both recognized. Lehmann's defensive composure and ability to organize the backline were key to the Celts' success, while Stoltje provided creativity and scoring strength in the attacking third.
Several Celts were honored with All-SCAC Honorable Mention: freshmen defenders Asanah Gordon and Jaida Rodea, freshmen forwards Sydney Ferguson and Amy Romero, junior midfielder Karleigh Villanueva, and junior goalkeeper Kylie Soich. Each contributed important minutes and helped the team at key moments throughout the season.
St. Thomas also placed three players on the SCAC Freshman Team: Asanah Gordon, Sydney Ferguson and Alicia Chi. Their early impact bodes well for the program's future.
These all-conference honors reflect the balance of experienced leaders and rising young talent that defined St. Thomas' 2025 season.
