ROUND ROCK, Texas — St. Thomas (Tex.) women's soccer season came to a close in the SCAC Tournament quarterfinals with a 3-0 loss to sixth-seeded Hendrix College at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. Despite controlling much of the play, the Celts were unable to find the back of the net and fell behind early in the first half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hendrix struck three times in the first 24 minutes, building a lead that St. Thomas could not overcome. The Celts outshot their opponent 24-8 and had multiple opportunities to score, including strong performances from Emma Cerda, Sydney Ferguson, Fernanda Alvarado, and Amy Romero, but were unable to convert.
Kylie Soich made 2 saves in goal for St. Thomas, while Hendrix held the Celts scoreless.
