KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The University of St. Thomas men's basketball team will play Carroll (Mont.) in the NAIA national tournament at 12:30 p.m. March 21 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
The sixth-seeded Celts (23-10) will be making their third trip to the NAIA Championships, having done so in 2013 and 2014. UST won the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament to claim the league's automatic bid. Three other RRAC teams also earned at-large bids to the national tournament.
Third-seeded Carroll (25-7) earned an at-large bid out of the Frontier Conference after winning the regular season title. The Fighting Saints are making their 13th appearance in the tournament and fourth straight.
