HOUSTON, Texas — Alexis Bodunrin of the University of St. Thomas (Tex.), a senior outside hitter from Tomball, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, September 8th through Saturday, September 12th.

Bodunrin was nothing short of dominant on the outside all weekend long, putting the Celts on her back as St. Thomas opened its season at the NYU Invitational. Facing a challenging slate of opponents, the senior showed exactly why she's one of the most feared hitters in the conference, attacking relentlessly from every angle and rarely giving opposing defenses a moment to reset.

Over the course of three matches, Bodunrin posted a gaudy 61 kills while hitting an efficient .305 clip, averaging 5.08 kills per set to lead the Celts' offensive attack. Her swings weren't just frequent — they were precise, as she consistently found the gaps in the block and put opposing back rows on their heels possession after possession.

But Bodunrin's week wasn't limited to the attack line. She was equally impactful in every other phase of the game, tallying 8 aces from the service line to disrupt opposing offenses and grinding out 33 digs to help stabilize the Celts defensively. She also chipped in nine blocks, rounding out a truly complete all-around performance that touched every corner of the stat sheet.
