HOUSTON – The University of St. Thomas softball program continued to excel in the classroom as eight Celts earned recognition as NFCA Academic All-Americans for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.
Representing St. Thomas on the prestigious list were Alli Hughes, Avery Pinz, Brynn Glidewell, Chloe Bennett, Maegan Anderson, Rebecca Archibald, Samantha Crumrin, Victoria Sossaman, and Savana Henken. Each student-athlete posted a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics and academics.
Leading the group were Alli Hughes and Rebecca Archibald, who each recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA. Other honorees included Victoria Sossaman (3.80 GPA), Brynn Glidewell (3.75 GPA), Savana Henken (3.71 GPA), Samantha Crumrin (3.66 GPA), Maegan Anderson (3.63 GPA), Avery Pinz (3.59 GPA), and Chloe Bennett (3.54 GPA).
The recognition highlights the commitment of the Celts softball program to excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Throughout the season, St. Thomas continued to compete at a high level while maintaining the academic standards that have become a hallmark of the program.
The NFCA Academic All-America honor recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their studies while representing their institutions in collegiate softball. The Celts' strong showing reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment displayed by the program's student-athletes throughout the academic year.
With nine student-athletes earning the distinction, St. Thomas once again showcased the program's culture of success, proving that championship-level performance extends far beyond the softball diamond.
