SUWANEE, Ga. – Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 All-SCAC Men's Tennis awards, and the University of St. Thomas men's tennis team was represented by first-year standout Ricardo Moolchan, who earned Second Team All-SCAC honors in singles competition.
Moolchan made an immediate impact in his debut season for the Celts, compiling an impressive 8-3 singles record while adding a 4-6 mark in doubles play. Competing primarily at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions, he established himself as one of the top newcomers in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and played a key role in the team's success throughout the season.
His contributions helped St. Thomas finish with a 6-7 overall record and a 6-4 mark in conference play. The Celts earned the No. 5 seed in the SCAC Championship, with Moolchan providing consistency and depth to the lineup in his first collegiate season.
Moolchan's selection to the All-SCAC Singles Second Team places him among the top 12 singles players in the conference and reflects the poise and competitiveness he displayed throughout the year. As a first-year student-athlete, he quickly became a valuable part of the Celts program and demonstrated the potential to be a cornerstone for St. Thomas in the seasons ahead.
The All-SCAC teams are selected through voting by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors. Coaches rank 12 singles players, with the top six earning First Team honors and the next six receiving Second Team recognition.
