KERRVILLE, TX – The University of St. Thomas men's tennis team competed in the SCAC Championships, falling 4-1 to University of the Ozarks in the quarterfinal round. The Celts conclude their season with a 6-7 overall record.
In doubles play, St. Thomas was unable to secure the opening point as Ozarks claimed victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. Sawyer White and Wilson Salazar fell 6-2, while Ricardo Moolchan and Pooya Tork dropped their match 6-1. The No. 3 doubles match featuring Raja Pandya and Luis Ledezma went unfinished.
In singles competition, the Celts earned one point. Gavin Simpson delivered a strong performance at the No. 6 position, securing a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
Sawyer White fell in a competitive 7-5, 6-3 match, while Ricardo Moolchan battled through three sets before coming up short 6-3, 1-6, 6-3. Pooya Tork dropped his match 6-4, 6-1. Several matches went unfinished, including a tightly contested battle at No. 1 singles from Raja Pandya.
The Celts conclude their 2026 season following their appearance in the SCAC Men's Tennis Championship.
