SUWANEE, Ga. — The University of St. Thomas (Texas) men's tennis team is set to open postseason play as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference unveiled the bracket for the 2026 Men's Tennis Championship. St. Thomas enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will open play Friday at noon against No. 4 seed University of the Ozarks. The Celts look to make an immediate statement in the quarterfinal round, with a win sending them into Saturday's semifinal matchup against top-seeded Colorado College.
This year's tournament marks a turning point within the conference, as a new champion will be crowned for the first time in 15 years following the departure of Trinity University, which had dominated the league by winning every conference title since 2010. With the door now open, the Celts have a prime opportunity to make a run at the program's first SCAC championship.
Colorado College enters as the No. 1 overall seed after posting a perfect 10-0 record in conference play and carrying an eight-match win streak into the postseason. On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 3 Concordia (Texas) faces No. 6 LeTourneau, with the winner advancing to meet No. 2 Hendrix in the semifinals.
