UST Defeats Concordia Texas

Houston, TX - The University of St. Thomas softball team used a late-inning rally to secure a 4–3 victory over Concordia University Texas. With the win, the Celts improve their season to 28-7 overall and 26-2 in conference play.  After surrendering the lead in the middle innings, the Celts responded with timely hitting to reclaim control and earn the win.

St. Thomas opened the scoring in the third inning when Ana Zozaya doubled to center field, driving in Savana Henken and Rebecca Archibald to give the Celts a 2–0 lead.

Concordia answered in the fourth inning with a three-run surge, using a series of extra-base hits and timely singles to take a 3–2 advantage.

The Celts responded in the fifth inning. A passed ball allowed Archibald to score and tie the game at 3–3, while Savana Henken advanced into scoring position. Shortly after, Viviana Vargas delivered an RBI single to right field, bringing Henken home and giving St. Thomas a 4–3 lead.
