SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of St. Thomas Men's Golf team opened play at the TPC San Antonio Shootout, hosted by Schreiner University, completing rounds one and two on Monday. The Celts sit in fifth place overall with a team score of +21 heading into the final round.

Leading the way for St. Thomas was Antonio Ramirez, who finished the day tied for 10th overall at +1. Ramirez carded rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E), putting together a steady performance to pace the Celts through 36 holes.
Jesus Del Aguila followed with a two-round total of +2, recording back-to-back rounds of 73 (+1) and 73 (+1) to place 13th overall. William Alberty added a +6 finish, highlighted by an opening round 78 (+6) before settling in with an even-par second round.
Landon Chau turned in rounds of 79 (+7) and 77 (+5) to finish at +12, while Drake Durrett rounded out the lineup at +18 after posting rounds of 82 (+10) and 80 (+8).
