HOUSTON, TX-- St. Thomas men's and women's golf teams are set for the 2026 spring golf season, building off strong performances during the fall and looking to carry that momentum into the championship stretch.
Both programs are coming off an impressive fall season, highlighted by first-place finishes at the SCAC Fall Preview. The results showed the growth, chemistry, and consistency across both squads as they continue preparing for a competitive spring season.
Schedule
The spring schedule opens on Feb. 16–17 with the men competing at the San Antonio Shoot-Out. The full squads come together March 2–3 at the Schreiner Invite, followed by UST hosting their 4th Annual Space City Classic on March 9–10. The women will then compete at the Cal Lutheran Invite on March 16–17, before both teams return to action March 23–24 at the Concordia Invite. The season concludes April 19–21 at the SCAC Championships, where the Celts will look to contend for conference titles and Men's Golf look to defend their title.
Leadership & Newcomers
The Celts return a strong core on both sides, led by 2025 SCAC Co-Golfer of the Year
Antonio Ramirez and a men's team that qualified for the national tournament.
Jesus Del Aguila placed #46 nationally, finishing at the tournament as an individual. On the women's side, the Celts are led by Freshman Golfer of the Year
Leah Torres, a consistent top-five finisher and tournament winner, alongside senior
Regina Perez,
Cameron Frazier,
Emma Koch, and newcomer
Josefina Demonti.
Both teams showed strong chemistry and steady improvement throughout the fall, setting the tone for what they hope will be a successful 2026 spring season as they push toward SCAC Championship competition.
