MONTGOMERY, AL-- UST volleyball team continued their dominant start to the season, sweeping Piedmont University in straight sets (25-14, 25-17, 25-7) to improve to 6-0 overall.

The Celts wasted no time in the opening set, building a 10-4 lead with early pressure at the net. Piedmont managed to trade points and close the gap to 13-7, but kills from Brooke Barnes, Noor Haydari, and Ariana Willis sparked another surge that carried UST to a commanding 25-14 finish.

In the second set, Piedmont struck first and jumped ahead 6-3. The Celts responded quickly, with Willis and Katelyn Marti powering the attack to even the score at 9-9. From there, Jazilyn Davis delivered key kills that fueled a decisive run, putting UST up 21-15 before they closed out the set 25-17.

The third set showcased the Celts' momentum at its peak. UST opened with a 12-0 run, fueled by kills from Karrington Kays and Alexis Bodunrin, to take complete control. Up 20-5, the Celts kept their foot on the gas and sealed the sweep with a dominant 25-7 victory.

Several Celts shined in the victory. Alexis Bodunrin led the attack with eight kills while also adding three aces and seven digs. Karrington Kays followed with six kills, and Ariana Willis added five kills along with two aces and eight digs. Mia Medina directed the offense with 17 assists, while Cailin Brokaw chipped in eight. Defensively, Carly Lange anchored the back row with 10 digs.
