BELTON, TX – The University of St. Thomas Men's Tennis team closed out the third and final day of the Crusader Invitational with several competitive matches across singles and doubles draws.
In Line C singles, Raja Pandya earned third place after defeating his opponent from Southwestern.
Line E featured Wilson Salazar in the championship match of his draw. Despite a hard-fought effort, he fell to UMHB 6-3, 7-5 to finish runner-up.
In Line F, teammates Gavin Simpson and Ricardo Moolchan squared off for third place, with Moolchan edging out a close battle 6-4, 3-6, 10-8.
Line G saw Michael Haranczyk advance to the finals before dropping a tight three-setter to Concordia 6-2, 4-6, 10-4.
In Line N, Ruben Reyes highlighted the day with a dramatic victory in the consolation finals, defeating LeTourneau 6-3, 2-6, 11-9.
In doubles, Pandya and Haranczyk finished as runners-up in the Line D consolation bracket after falling to McMurry 8-5. Meanwhile, Moolchan and Reyes came up short in the Line E consolation final against Concordia, 8-3.
