HOUSTON, Texas — St. Thomas Women's Cross Country team competed on Friday evening and finished 5th overall at the Rice Invitational, their only Houston meet of the season.

Freshman Keyanna Brown led the Celts, placing 18th with a time of 16:16.2. She was followed by junior Elyssa Rodarte, who crossed the line in 17:26.2 to finish 25th. Freshman Jaden Leddy (18:35.6) and junior Ana Luna (18:57.4) finished close together, while freshman Jocelyn Izarraras rounded out the top five for the Celts with a time of 20:06.0.

The strong pack effort secured the Celts a 5th-place team finish in the competitive field.
