HOUSTON, TX –The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its 2025 women's soccer preseason poll, and the University of St. Thomas enters the new season motivated to make a statement.
The Celts are coming off a year where they continued to develop their identity under head coach Nataki Stewart. With a strong group of returners and a talented incoming class, UST has its sights set on climbing the table and competing for a postseason spot as the league begins a new chapter.
This fall also marks the first season in more than a decade that the SCAC's automatic NCAA Tournament bid will be claimed by a program outside of Trinity or Southwestern. That shift brings new energy and opportunity across the conference, and St. Thomas is eager to be in the mix.
"We know there's still a lot to prove, but we're embracing the challenge with full commitment and belief in our potential," Stewart said. "I'm excited to see how we evolve and push ourselves up the table as the season unfolds."
The 2025 season kicks off on Friday, August 29, with non-conference action over Labor Day weekend. SCAC play begins in late September and will culminate with the conference tournament in November at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
