Nathan Day brings more than two decades of coaching experience across the collegiate, club, and high school levels to the women’s soccer program at University of St. Thomas. A St. Louis native, Day played collegiately at McMurry University from 1999–2003, earning four varsity letters during his career.
Following graduation, Day began his collegiate coaching career in 2003 as an assistant coach at Utica University before returning to Houston to establish himself as one of the area’s most respected soccer coaches and goalkeeper trainers.
At the club level, Day has coached with several prominent organizations throughout the Houston area, including Fusion Soccer Club, Eclipse Soccer Club, Houston Dynamo Academy as a goalkeeper coach, Sports Group 1 Soccer Club, Imperial Soccer Club, and currently Houston Bluebonnets FC.
Day also built an extensive and successful high school coaching career in Texas. He served as the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at Cypress Woods High School from 2006–2009 before leading the boys varsity program from 2009–2018. He later became the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at Lawrence E. Elkins High School from 2018–2020.
Throughout his coaching journey, Day has remained committed to professional development, earning multiple nationally recognized coaching licenses and certifications, including the USSF “A” License, USSF “B” License, USSF “C” License, USSF National Youth License, and the USC National Goalkeeper License.
Nathan and his wife, Callie, have been married for 20 years and are proud parents of four children.
