HOUSTON, Texas — Keyanna Brown of University of St. Thomas, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, September 18th through Saturday, September 19th.

Brown delivered one of the most complete performances of her career at the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational, running her way to the front of a crowded and talented field. The sophomore was locked in from the start, steadily working through the course before crossing the line in 24:27.8 for the 6K distance.

That time was good for 5th place overall — and perhaps most impressively, it made Brown the first NCAA Division III finisher across the line, ahead of every other Division III runner in the race. Her performance was a driving force behind the Celts' second-place team finish out of nine schools, further cementing her status as one of the top rising talents in the conference.

With her name now among the SCAC's weekly honorees, Brown has firmly established herself as a key piece of UST's rising cross country program heading into the back half of the season.
